

Reverend Dr. Brian C. Henderson
Ex-Officio
Reverend Dr. Brian C. Henderson serves as the proud pastor of St. James Presbyterian Church USA in Charleston, South Carolina, a congregation of 1000 members doing ministry in Charleston and beyond. Dr. Henderson has held several positions in the Presbyterian Church such as Moderator of the Presbytery of the Mid-South, chair of the presbytery’s Coordinating Council, delegate to the General Assembly, member of the Presbytery Commission on Ministry, and member of the Finance Committee for the Synod of the Living Waters. Dr. Henderson also serves as a trustee for Stillman College, a member of the Mayor’s Clergy Council in Charleston, South Carolina, and a member of the James Island Interfaith Council which is an ecumenical group of ministry leaders on James Island.
Dr. Henderson holds a bachelor degree in Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Master’s degrees from Johnson C. Smith Seminary and Memphis Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Memphis Theological Seminary.

Jacqueline Singleton Brown
Chairperson
Jacqueline Singleton Brown presently serves as the Interim Chairperson of The St. James Foundation. She has been serving in this capacity since 2016. She brings a wealth of knowledge to this Foundation after serving on other non-profits since 2004.

In 2004 Jacqueline was one of the founding members of the Twenty Pearls Foundation, a charitable 501c3 non-profit organization. She served as secretary, vice president and president and she continue to serve as a member of the Board. One of the main purposes of this organization is to provide scholarships to high school graduates pursuing a higher education. Jacqueline also served as a trustee on the Embracing U Foundation which is a Breast cancer awareness organization whose main purpose is to educate, embrace, and empower breast cancer survivors. Jacqueline believes we build our neighborhoods and empower our communities by educating our citizens.

Deborah Agbor-Tabi
Treasurer
Deborah Agbor-Tabi has worked in Charleston as a project researcher and a Clinical Health Research Coordinator for the past 18 years. During that time, she worked independently to implement projects from start to close and mentored other Research Coordinators. She earned a Master of Public Health degree from the University of South Carolina and then lived in Cameroon, Africa for 18 years before returning to Charleston.
Deborah is a small business owner and currently works as a real estate investor. She has a strong desire to help others which has been evident in her profession and in volunteer work in the community. She volunteers for several community organizations; the neighborhood civic association as secretary, the Charleston Area Justice Ministry as Team Leader and Housing Steering Committee Member and has served on personnel and event committees and ministries at the St James Presbyterian Church. She currently serves as Treasurer of the St James Foundation Board of Directors.

Reverend Dr. Charles C. Heyward Sr.
Secretary
Rev. Dr. Charles C. Heyward, Sr. faithfully served the St. James Presbyterian Church USA as Pastor for twenty years, May 1996 to April 2016. He is the organizing and founding Pastor of The St. James Foundation. He has served the Presbyterian Church USA in all councils of the denomination and is regarded for his community leadership role in the areas of community service, social justice, public education and entrepreneurship.

Edward Greene
Trustee
Edward Greene is a retired Vietnam Veteran and loves to play golf. He served many years fighting for equality and justice in our school systems and communities. Edward served on many boards throughout his career: Commissioner for Mun. Golf Course; Past Chairman Equal Employment Committee at VAMC, Community Representative of the Head Start Program; Past Boy Scout Commissioner; Past Chairman Trustee Board; Past Master of Son of Elijah; Past Chairman Port City Golf Club.
He holds an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, and is currently a Master Electrician.

Tonya L. Anderson
Trustee
I am a native of James Island, SC. In my spare time, I enjoy helping others in my community. I have volunteered giving my time and service with several organizations such as, The National Kidney Foundation, Camp Happy Days, Susan G Komen and Water Mission just to name a few. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. I am a Financial Coordinator at Fresenius Kidney Care assisting with grant programs, disability and insurance needs. I am also a Realtor with Excel Real Estate.
My goal is to continue to make a difference and a positive change in my community.

Marcia Green

During my career, served as an officer of the following Organizations for both Medgar Evers and York Colleges of The City University of New York (CUNY): The Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation; Child Care Center; College Foundation; and The Students Government Associations Corporation

Shaniqua Green
Trustee
Shaniqua is an active member of the ASQ Government Division and an ASQ Designated Examiner for ASQ/ANSI G1:2021 Guidelines for Evaluating the Quality of Government Operations and Services. She is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the College of Charleston's School of Business. She serves on the Board of Directors at St. James Foundation.

Shaniqua is the CEO of SMS Advisers - Strategic Management Solutions, LLC. It is a small minority-owned business conducting various training services in Lean Six Sigma, internal auditing, risk management, project management, and legal research. Additionally, she provides business management consulting services. In the past, Shaniqua has advised senior executives (Political Appointees, COOs, CIOs, CHCOs, ALJs, and CAOs) at various federal agencies.

She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC. She earned a Master's in Public Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and double-majored in Political Science and English at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. Shaniqua is an ICF Professional Career Coach with a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.

Shawn Hinkle
Trustee
Shawn Hinkle currently works as Quality Engineer testing software with over 20 years of experience. In addition to her work, she volunteers her time tutoring middle and high school students, adults in GED program and students preparing to take the SAT/ACT exams as they prepare for college.

Shawn received her Masters of Mathematics Education from Georgia State University and her Bachelors of Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She has served in the GED program under The Royal Foundation for over five years.
